Wind and Spot Conditions
During our winter high season (November to March) our spot delivers perfect conditions for every style rider, averaging 20-25 knots North-East Cross-On-Shore daily, with days of up to 40 knots. Even on these rare light wind days we still get around 15-20 knots.
The most seen kite sizes in winter season are 5-10m.
The lagoon is tidal, so that means that occasionally there won’t be any water to launch directly from the beach. In this case you could still walk out to the reef and go kiting at any day-time.
The weather here ranges around 25-30 degrees, so you could just kite in your bikini/boardshorts. However, with the strong wind it can get a bit chilly. If you get cold easily we recommend to bring a 2 or 3mm shorty.
During summer season the wind changes to South-South-East, cross-onshore, but is a little lighter and less reliable. It’s still possible to kite and most likely to have the whole lagoon to yourself.

How to get here
The My Hoa Lagoon is located about 75mins by car from the international airport of Cam Ranh / Nha Trang (CXR).
You can fly directly to Cam Ranh from Hong Kong, Bangkok (DMK) or any Vietnamese airport.
The travel distance from Saigon to Cam Ranh on the new build highway is around 4,5 hours.
We are happy to organise a private transfer for you from Cam Ranh Airport or Saigon.
